Our Story
The Name That Started It All
"You are the God who sees me."
The name Belahroi comes from Hagar, a woman who was alone, used, mistreated, and who ran away into the wilderness. In her pain and isolation, God met her there, spoke to her, gave her direction, and reminded her that her life and her child's future still mattered.
Hagar then called that place Beer Lahai Roi, saying, "You are the God who sees me." (Genesis 16:13)
Why Belahroi?
"It was necessary for Jesus to become fully human like us so He could become a merciful and faithful High Priest before God and forgive our sins. Because Jesus Himself suffered and was tempted, He understands our pain, can relate to our struggles, and is able to help us when we go through difficult times."
